BCHFS is moving into the digital age! Last year at Provincial Fair we launched our Facebook page, Twitter and Instagram accounts. the BCHFS also has an ever-growing webpage, full of resources for students, teachers, Coordinators, members, and anyone interested in Heritage Fairs! And of course, the Alumni keep all our followers updated online through our blog — which you’re likely reading online RIGHT NOW.
Last year’s Alumni Council theme was Stories, and the Alumni were engaged in big questions about stories in their lives, in history, in Heritage Fair projects, and their role in shaping culture. This season we are switching gears to our modern day story telling platforms: the internet!
It promises to be an informative year, with lots of great opportunities for Alumni students to contribute directly to the growth of the Society’s web presence. I look forward to working with this group of inspiring students whom I would like to introduce as the 2015-2016 Alumni Council:
Abrielle Vancouver
Anisha Delta-Surrey
Anna Kootenays
Emily Vancouver
Gita Richmond
Jack Sea to Sky
Julia Kamloops-Thompson
Lucas Rivers to Sea
Sam North-West
Teagan Vancouver
Vedanshi Richmond
Veronica Richmond
This post kicks off the Council season. Keep an eye out for our first student blog posts starting in January! You can also follow or like us on all those other platforms to stay up to date with latest in Heritage Fair news.
