The BCHFS’s Alumni Council has been doing a lot of fun stuff! In the most recent meeting, we participated in a workshop led by a UBC student. The main ideas of the workshop were “stories in our day to day lives and how they affect us” and “how to be more of a positive thinker about ourselves”. For example, when we hand in a project to our school teacher, we mostly think “Oh! I’m pretty sure that I messed-up that project!” Rarely do we think “Well, that was a job well done”. Our workshop leader encouraged us to think more of the “positive thoughts” and less of the “negative thoughts”. We had a lot of fun in the workshop and there was tons of great learning to do!
